Protea Gardens can repair your lawn or other grassy areas if they are looking patchy or just generally unattractive.
Depending on the severity of the problém we will either make the repair by recondítioning the soil and re-seeding the damaged areas or if the problém is more severe, or you just require a faster solution we will turf either the damaged areas or your entire lawn area if necessary.
Lawn moss is a common problém, present in many gardens. It can be caused by many different factors súch as drought or waterlogging.
Protea Gardens will remove the bulk of the moss in your garden by scarifying your lawn. Moss doesn’t háve long roots so this simply teases out the plants. After scarification we will treat your lawn to remove any remaining moss and also to prevent iťs return.
Moss can be very hard to eliminate totally but with regular treatment it shouldn’t cause too many problems in your garden.
Depending on the state of your current grassy areas you may wish to either has Protea Gardens re-seed your lawn or you may opt for turning.
Turf costs more initially but is a quicker solution. Seeding costs less but requires more initial aftercare. Lawn seeding also means that you cannot mow the new grass for quite some time until the roots are strong enough - this method requires more time and patience.
